366 | 08 Opening Night
Frank Rogozienski’s Picture a Day project opened last Friday night at Subtext’s brand new gallery space. The crowd was plentiful, and the vibe was positive and exciting all night. We basically doubled the size of our space, and Friday it felt like we had already outgrown our new digs! We want to thank Frank Rogozienski for putting together an incredible show with a very challenging schedule while he worked around our ongoing construction for the new gallery. Another thanks goes out to Sezio who booked a brilliant band for the evening, The Traditionist. If you missed the opening, come check out this show while it’s up through February 15th. The new gallery hours are Thursday through Sunday, 1-7pm (private showings available by appointment). Check out the grand opening photos after the jump…
366 | 08 A Picture a Day by Frank Rogozienski January 16th – Feb. 15th, 2009
About the Show: Our good friend, photographer Frank Rogozienski, started 366 | 08, his “Picture A Day” project in January of this year. His goal? Simply capture 366 images (it’s a leap year) one day at a time. So far, he’s done just that. From back alleys, to portraits, to cityscapes, to dead flies, he’s managed to capture (and feature) a single image each day on his blog. His work isn’t done yet, he still has a few months left, and we’re anxious to see how it all comes together. Join us at Subtext as Frank displays the entire year’s worth of images (all 366) in this one-of-kind exhibition.
