January 16th – February 15th, 2009
Opening Reception: Friday, Jan. 16th, 6-10pm, Live Music from The Traditionist at 9pm

In our efforts to bring more art to San Diego, Subtext has decided to take the plunge and move into a brand new gallery space at 2479 Kettner (on the corner of Kettner & Laurel across from the Casbah). We’re very excited about this new venture, because the new space will allow us to do bigger and better shows for the coming year. We’ve teamed up with Sezio to help us feature live music from local bands, beginning with The Traditionist on January 16th (at 9pm).

We have an amazing lineup of artists for 2009, starting with local photographer, Frank Rogozienski. Frank started 366 | 08, his “Picture a Day” project, in January of 2008. His goal? Simply capture 366 images (it’s a leap year) one day at a time. One year later, he’s done just that. From back alleys, to portraits, to cityscapes, to dead flies, he’s managed to capture (and feature) a single image each day on his blog. Join us at Subtext as we display an entire year’s worth of Frank’s images (all 366) in this one-of-a-kind exhibition.

This event was sponsored in part by: Chrome Digital, Rissolo Fine Arts, Rush PressSezio, & Nelson Photo.
